Taking the Steps to lmprove Your Mental Health

Taking the Steps to lmprove Your Mental Health

My goal is to help you re-imagine your life.  With extensive experience in life coaching, mentoring and mental health peer support coaching my individualized positivity approach will help you attain your goals. The price is £40 per coaching session which is generally 60 minutes. Coaching sessions can be face to face or over the telephone or video calls using whatsapp and microsoft teams, whatever you feel comfortable with.  If you are unable to afford the set price we can discuss to find a way forward. There is also a free consultation session available to outline the main areas you wish to focus on in the coaching sessions.

What makes great Mental Health Peer Support Coaches and Life Coaches?  They are less about having all the answers and more about helping others discover their potential. They are guides, sounding boards, and motivators who facilitate learning and growth through trust, collaboration, and encouragement. While no two peer mental health coaches and life coaches are exactly alike, the best ones share these common traits:

  • They are empathetic — Empathy allows us to truly understand and relate to the feelings, experiences, and challenges of others.
  • They are active listeners — Active listening should be a soft skill that everyone, not only mental health peer support coaches and life coaches, should strive to master. This is when we give full attention to our clients, avoid interrupting, ask thoughtful questions, and reflect back key points to confirm understanding.
  • They have a curious mind — Curiosity helps us to dig deeper, venture further, and encourage self-reflection. This doesn’t mean we should impose solutions, but to help others discover their own answers.
  • They are patient and non-judgemental — Genuine growth takes time, and everyone needs to feel free and safe to share openly without fear of criticism. Remain calm, supportive, and focused on progress rather than perfection, even when clients struggle or make mistakes.
  • They have a growth mindset — It’s natural for those who participate in coaching to value growth.  Good mental health peer support coaches and life coaches actively encourage goal-setting, provide constructive feedback and celebrate successes, all while modeling a growth mindset themselves.

Taking the Steps to lmprove Your Mental Health

Mental Health Peer Support Coaching and life coaching is not to be confused with therapy, mental health coaching does not touch on treating mental illness. Instead, it takes a holistic approach to people dealing with depression, anxiety, personality disorder and lack of motivation for example and helps them rediscover their sense of purpose and meaning in life to regain their will to take on the challenges of life and thrive in the world. How can a mental health peer support coach and life coach assist you?

● Identify the cause of your distress and to recognise negative thought patterns.

● Realize your potential.

● ldentify toxic negative habits and behavioural patterns.

● Lay out realistic milestones of progress.

● Place actionable plans in place to break away from the toxic negative cycles withholding any progress.

● Regain your self-confidence, sense of self-worth and seek a meaningful purpose.

● Rediscover the source of your passions and motivations.

A mental health peer support coach and life coach enables you to seek the realisation of who you really are. This involves helping you discard negative self-talk with the help of positive affirmations and allocate your energy towards progress and positivity, completely changing your life by supporting you to change your mental outlook on life. Simply by altering your thoughts with the power of your own mind. This is a journey of self discovery and one of realisation and personal growth. It takes dedication and commitment with my full support all the way.

Professionalism and Experience

Life Coaching and mental health peer support coaching is a powerful, future-focused partnership designed to help you achieve your personal and professional goals. Away from coaching l have worked in adult social care since 2001 in both a volunteer and paid capacity - mainly in adult mental health and substance misuse in a variety of roles and successfully being  DBS checked.  I am also an accredited member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) one of the leading professional associations for complementary and holistic practitioners - for cognitive behavoural therapy coaching, wellbeing coaching and life coaching. I also  hold membership with NLP Association of Excellence or NLPEA the lead coaching body. Together we can help you grow and develop into the person you wish to be. You already have all the tools to succeed we just need to set them free. My goal is not only to help you create meaningful lasting change, but to ensure you feel supported, seen and confident, throughout your personal growth journey.

Coaching is an interactive experience where we discover your goals and your passions and use them to help you travel down a path to the life you want.  Life Coaching is a powerful, future-focused partnership designed to help you achieve your personal and professional goals. In most cases life coaching is totally confidential but there may be times when that can be  broken if  your life or someone's life is at risk. This can be discussed during a coaching session to find a beneficial and safe solution.

The time that your coaching process will take depends on the complexity of your goals and your commitment and openness to your process.
